Legacy Artist | Alice Kelly
Molly's mom, Alice Kelly, was born 1955 in Upstate NY. She has always been a creative individual in her own right, sewing and crafting with joy throughout her life.
Her passion for art fuels her. She began exhibiting works and selling pieces in the early 2000s and continues to create in retirement.
Artist | Molly Waldeck
Molly is a self-taught artist, local to South NJ in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Her creativity was nurtured from an early age by her mom, who provided access to a vast collection of art and craft supplies, supporting Molly's projects and active imagination. That early freedom to experiment helped spark a love for creative expression.
In her early years, Molly dedicated time to sketching, focusing on structure and proportion. Many of her early works were based on ideas and dreams, blending concepts with emotion. Her contemporary works incorporate sophisticated techniques that more closely mirror the observable world, with exceptional attention paid to color, light, and texture.
Nature is the main inspiration behind Molly's work, capturing happy memories of travel, wildlife, and pets. While she primarily paints with watercolor and acrylic, she also enjoys revisiting the practice of freehand sketching and occasionally creating digital designs. Her techniques continue to develop through experimentation, patience, and plenty of trial and error.
